It differs from the standard indicator by an additional set of settings. The ADX line changes color depending on the position of the DI and-DI lines relative to each other.
- Period — the indicator calculation period;
- Method-selection of the averaging method: simple, exponential, smoothed, linear-weighted;
- Apply to-select the price to use: closing price, opening price, maximum, minimum, median, typical, weighted average.
By default, directional lines are colored in the following colors:
- Dark green — the value of the indicator of the positive direction of price movement ( DI-positive directional index);
- Brown — the value of the indicator of the negative direction of price movement (- DI-negative directional index).
The line of the Average Directional Movement Index (ADX) is colored:
- Yellow — no trend;
- Light green — buy signal, DI line above -DI with rising ADX;
- Red-a sell signal, the line-DI above DI with a growing ADX.
