Bermaui Deviation percentage (BD%) steps and displays the volatility index as a percentage. The index is based on the classic Standard Deviation (CSD), that takes values from 0 to 100%.
Interest rate technical indicators are helpful when comparing multiple securities, that gives traders a great benefit when analyzing the industry. BD% is a relative measurement of CSD. it is possible to use BD% to compare the volatility of the same advantage in various time periods and on different timeframes. in addition, you can use BD% to compare the volatility of different assets in different markets as a percentage.
The idea of the indicator is explained in the following steps:
- If BD% is below 90% and crosses this level upwards, this is a sign of a flat.
- If BD% is above 90% and crosses this level down, while the price is already above its simple moving average, this is a sign of the beginning of an uptrend. As BD% moves deeper into the negative area, the volatility and strength of the trend increases. If BD% is 0%, the volatility is at its maximum. If BD% leaves the 0% level, the volatility decreases and the uptrend weakens.
- If BD% is above 90% and crosses this level down, while the price is already below its simple moving average, this is a sign of the beginning of a downtrend. As BD% moves deeper into the negative area, the volatility and strength of the trend increases. If BD% is 0%, the volatility is at its maximum. If BD% leaves the 0% level, the volatility decreases and the downtrend weakens.
