The level indicator visually shows the intersection of two moving averages. (SMA, EMA, SMMA, LWMA).
It is created for the clarity of signals and notification of the intersection of the Moving Average.
The moving average is simply the average value of the price for the selected time period, also known as the timeframe (TF).
That is why sliding indicators are used on a wide variety of TF, from 1 minute to a year and even decades.
- SMA (Simple Moving Average) – simple moving average;
- EMA (Exponential Moving Average) – exponential Moving Average;
- SMMA (Smoothed Moving Average) – smoothed Moving Average;
- LWMA (Linear Weighted Moving Average) – linearly weighted Moving average;
The indicator has the ability to change the colors and periods of the Moving Average. If properly understood, the indicator clearly shows the trader the direction of the trend for a currency instrument.
The intersection of the Moving Average of different periods and types is the simplest and most common strategy from the variety of trading methods in the foreign exchange market.
For example, if a trader sees that the MA with a shorter period (fast) crosses the MA with a longer period (slow), then a possible signal appears to enter the market in the direction that has begun.

At the reverse intersection, a trend change is possible and there is a possible signal for exiting current trades and entering the other side.
During the intersection of two Moving Averages, the Crossing signal EMA indicator creates:
- PeriodMA_1 – the period of the first (fast) Moving Average, by default: 19.
- MA_metod_1 – the type of the Moving Average construction, by default: EMA.
- Appied_price_1 – By default, the closing prices of bars are used in the MA construction: Close price.
- PeriodMA_2 – the period of the second (slow) Moving Average, by default: 79.
- MA_metod_2 – the type of construction of the second Moving Average, by default: EMA.
- Appied_price_2 – By default, the closing prices of bars are used in the construction of the second MA: Close price.
- ShowArrows – show intersections (icons), by default: true;
- Arrows_code_up-the code of the icon when the signal is up, by default: 164;
- Arrows_code_down-the code of the icon when the signal is down, by default: 164;
- Width – the thickness of the icon, by default: 3.
- Num_cross – the number of notifications in the history of the alert window, by default: 5.
- ShowHistogram-filling the space between the Moving Average, enabled by default: true.
