the Gekko strong pubs indicator creates signals when a strong bullish or bearish bar is detected. When searching, three states apply: 1-the present bar is over/below the last x pubs (x is the configurations parameter), two – how big the current bar is over the average dimensions of the last x bars (x is the input parameter), and 3 – the current bar has a brief tail (shadow).
- Plot Strong Bar Arrows for the past X historic Bars: the number of previous bars to draw the indicator. The lower the value, the higher the performance;
- How the Size of Bars will be calculated):
- 1-the bar size is calculated as the difference between the opening and closing prices;
- 2-the bar size is calculated as the difference between the high and low;
- How Bar strong signals will be calculated? (how strong bar signals are calculated):
- 1-both the current bar and the combination of the current and previous bars are considered strong;
- 2-only the current bar is considered strong;
- 3-only the combination of the current and previous bars is considered strong;
- Number of last X bars to trigger conditions below: the number of bars to calculate conditions 1, 2, and 3 described below;
- Produces Signal Only When a Bar Closes: wait for the bar to trigger to generate a signal (more accurate results) or generate a signal immediately (signals may be false);
- Condition #1: Current Bar Size > x% of the average: > condition 1: a bar is considered strong if its body size exceeds the specified average percentage of the last bars. At 0, it compares with the average value without changes.
- Condition #2: Tail Size: Condition 2: a bar is considered strong if it has a short shadow. Here you specify the shadow value in % compared to the body, at which the bar is considered strong. At 100%, the shadow size is not taken into account.
- Condition #3: Crossed Top’s / Bottom’s: Condition 3: A strong bar should be above (if bullish) or below (if bearish) the last bars. This shows that it is able to break through previous price areas. To avoid false signals, the % of the last high or low is indicated here to confirm a strong bar. At 0, the last maximum and minimum are taken into account without any restrictions.
- Shows Price Arrows and Tags for Online: display the level of signal triggering (works better if the parameter waiting for the bar to close is false).
- Plays a sound when there is a swing: If true, the indicator plays a sound when a new signal is detected, notifying you of the entry/exit points.
- Write Logs On Terminal Window: if true, the indicator will add entries about new signals to the Expert log (“Experts” tab)”
- Send Mobile Push Notifications: If true, push notifications about signals will be sent to your mobile device
- Send E-Mail Alerts: if true, you will receive notifications about signals by e-mail, for this you need to configure the terminal
