The Sin RoC indicator, is a development of the well-known RoC indicatordescribed in the bookAlexander Elder “How to play and win on the stock exchange”.
Thanks to the sinusoidal transformations applied in Sin RoC, the indicator was able to display its values in strictly limited numerical ranges from -100 to 100.
In addition, the indicator has the ability to smooth by EMA, and display in the additional chart window, both one and two curves: a curve built without smoothing and a curve smoothed by EMA.
In the additional window of the indicator, three levels are displayed, set by the settings, at the intersection of which it is possible to alert with alerts.
To change the sensitivity threshold of the indicator, a special coefficient is added in the settings.
The indicator signals can serve as intersections of the indicator curves, as well as the output of these curves beyond the specified levels, as well as divergences, which are well displayed by the smoothed indicator curve.
- Period SinRoC (N) – the number of bars used to calculate the period of the indicator N. Recommended values are from 5 to 60.
- Coefficient of smoothing (K) – The smoothing coefficient for the EMA. Recommended values are from 1 to 12.
- Sensitivity Coefficient – Sensitivity coefficient. Recommended values are from 1 to 12.
- Maximum level – the level of the maximum value of the indicator curve, at the intersection of which an Alert is issued. Recommended values are from 30 to 100.
- Minimum level – the level of the minimum value of the indicator curve, at the intersection of which an Alert is issued. Recommended values are -30 to -100.
- Enable: line of N-enables / disables the display of the non-smoothed curve of the indicator.
- Enable: line of K-enables / disables the display of the indicator curve smoothed by the EMA.
- Alert zero level-enables / disables the Alert that informs about the intersection of the zero level line indicator curve.
- Alert max level-enables / disables the Alert that informs about the intersection of the curve of the indicator line of the maximum value level.
- Alert min level-enables / disables the Alert that informs about the intersection of the indicator curve of the minimum value level line.
- Maximum bars (0 -all bars) – the number of bars used to calculate the indicator. If the value is 0, the calculation is performed for all bars of the chart.
