Determining the current trend is one of the most important tasks of a trader, regardless of the trading style. The Trend Scan indicator will help you do this with a fairly high probability.

In the calculations of the indicator, the author’s method is used. Trend Scan is suitable for any currency pair, any timeframe, and does not change its readings. It takes into account the volume and volatility readings, and combines them together to display the result in the form of a histogram. The color of the histogram can be adjusted depending on the importance of the signal: strong uptrend, uptrend, strong downtrend, downtrend.

Main Settings):

• VolMode – whether to use the tick volume in calculations.
• GlobalPeriod – the global period for calculations.
• LocalPeriod – the local period for calculations.
• SignalLevel – signal strength. If VolMode = false, the value of the variable will not exceed 1. Otherwise, you can increase the values by as much as you want.
• HistoryBars – the number of bars to display.

Alert Settings):

• Alerts – if true, the alert is enabled.
• AMessage-displays the dialog box.
• ASound-playing an audio file.
• AEmail-sending an email to the address specified in the settings window on the “Mail” tab.
• ANotificaton-sending notifications to mobile terminals.
• soundfile – the name of the sound file.
