VPCI is a volume price confirmation indicator.
This indicator was created by Buff Dormeyer in an attempt to algorithmize the confirmation of the price by volume in the form of an indicator.
VPCI received the Dow Award in 2007.
With VPCI, you can build a profitable trading system, as John Bollinger did.
Now this indicator is also available for the MetaTrader platform.
Indicator input parameters:
- MA_ShortPeriod: short period of moving averages for calculations
- MA_LongPeriod: Long period of moving averages for calculations
- MA_Shift: offset in bars for calculations
In a separate window of the main chart, the indicator displays:
- The VPCI line
- Smoothed VPCI line
