View and compare swaps of all symbols presented in the Market Overview window in one panel. This is a useful utility for traders who prefer to use the swap to their advantage or simply avoid trading against high swaps.
The utility can display unadjusted swap values, swaps as a percentage of the Average True Range (ATR), or as the amount of currency that you will receive when trading on a given symbol with a given lot size.
Click on the column headings to sort the symbols by name, by swap size for short or long positions.
- Adjusted or unadjusted swap – adjusted or unadjusted swap values. Note that these parameters assume that the broker specifies the swap in points (I have not seen any other types).
- Unadjusted swap = displays unadjusted swaps as provided by the broker (usually, Forex brokers provide them in the form of the number of points accrued at the end of the day).
- Swap as % of ATR = swap as a percentage of ATR, calculated using the formula: swap (in points) / Average True Range (in points) * 100. You can adjust the ATR parameters below.
- Amount of currency swap you get per day = the amount in the account currency that will be paid at the end of the day when the swap is calculated in accordance with the lot size specified below.
- Timeframe for ATR, if swap is adjusted by ATR – if“Swap as % of ATR” is selected in the “Adjusted or unadjusted swap” parameter, the timeframe for calculating ATR is specified here.
- Period for ATR, if swap is adjusted by ATR – if“Swap as % of ATR” is selected in the “Adjusted or unadjusted swap” parameter, the period for calculating ATR is specified here.
- Lot size if showing amount of swap you get per day – if“Amount of currency swap you get per day” is selected in the “Adjusted or unadjusted swap” parameter, the lot size for calculations is specified here.
