The original trend indicator. It can take
values from -1 to 1. The closer the indicator value is to 1, the stronger the
uptrend. The closer to -1, the stronger the downward trend. It can also
be used as an oscillator to determine
overbought/oversold conditions. The indicator has a signal line – the moving average of the main line of the
indicator.

In the input parameter
Period Main specifies the number of bars used for the
calculation. The Period Signal parameter defines the period for
calculating the indicator’s signal line.
