dual Smoothed Stochastics-DSS Bressert is an oscillator which was developed by William Blau and Walter Bressert in 2 variations with minimal differences. The calculation of DSS Bressert values is comparable to the calculation in the Stochastic indicator. The difference lies in the use of double exponential smoothing. The advantage over the classic Stochastic oscillators is the speed of reaction to price changes in a very uniform flow pattern. In addition, extreme zones on the other end of the scale are quite often reached even with a strong trend, increasing the number of accurate signals. The values of Double Smoothed Stochastics – DSS Bressert are similar to the values of Stochastic-values over 80 indicate an overbought state, values below 20 indicate an oversold state.
