This index provides that a substitute for actual trading volumes based on tick volumes. It uses a specific formulation to calculate a close-to-reality quote of the supply of trading volumes, which can be useful for instruments that only tick volumes can be found. notice that the total values of the index do not correspond to some data on actual volumes, but the supply itself, involving the general shape and behavior, repeats the general shape and behavior of the real volumes of related instruments (for example, money futures).
